Why Do so Many Christians Limit God? He Can Use Anything to Speak to Us.

Over the last few months, God has used numbers, animals, people, and weather, to gain my undivided attention. And yet many devout Christians warn I’m flirting with the occult.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. — Genesis 1:1, ESV

A year ago, I was warned I would experience difficulties with my health. A snake told me — actually, two snakes told me. I was walking through a lush, National Heritage Area located east of Atlanta, and a snake slithered across my path. One hour later, another was coiled up, in the center of the walkway.

Being the millennial that I am, I zapped into videographer and researcher mode, shooting a quick video for The Gram (Instagram) and then Googling the meaning of snake sightings.

Yes yes, those two totems grasped my attention so forcefully that I consulted a book called, Animal Speak — an anthology of sorts, dedicated to decoding the characteristics of animals and how their appearance in your life can provide spiritual guidance.

You may not know this, but…Christians don’t like this.
